UPDATE ON DORMANT RETURNED APPLICATIONS IN ESD ONLINE

Please be informed that effective 1 October 2024, any returned applications in the ESD Online that are not resubmitted within ninety (90) days will be automatically cancelled. This update will also affect all applications that are currently in the systems returned inbox.

We are pleased to announce the final phase of redeployment has commenced for the online Cancellation of Application. It is now available via ESD Online through the Sub-Product menu.
This marks the completion of online Sub-Product services redeployment which aims to enhance the expatriate pass processes for a more efficient and user-friendly experience.

As per the announcement on 29 July 2024, the following online Sub-Product services have been successfully redeployed:
1. Transfer of Endorsement (ToE) / Take-up Balance (TuB)
2. Amendment of Approved Application
3. Shorten of Pass
With that, we are pleased to announce that the next phase of redeployment has commenced for the online Permission to Study and Permission to Work at a Second Location. They are now available via ESD Online through the Sub-Product menu. -
NEW APPLICATION FEATURES AND SERVICE FEE FOR EXPATRIATE EMPLOYMENT, DEPENDANT, AND PROFESSIONAL VISIT PASSES EFFECTIVE 01 SEPTEMBER 2024

To better meet the needs of employers for expatriates, TalentCorp and its subsidiary MYXpats have introduced a comprehensive online data platform and service-oriented management system. This system aims to efficiently process expatriate-related applications, such as the Employment Pass (EP), the Professional Visit Pass (PVP) and their related passes, within a five-working-day period, in line with our client service commitment.

OFFICIALLY LAUNCHED: EXPATRIATE SATELLITE CENTRE (ESC) AT TERMINAL 2 KUALA LUMPUR INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (KLIA)

We are pleased to announce that the Expatriate Satellite Centre KLIA Terminal 2 (ESC KLIA2) is now fully operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to facilitate the issuance of new Employment Passes, Professional Visit Passes, Dependant Passes, and the Residence Pass-Talent for expatriates.

IMPROVEMENT INITIATIVE : PERMISSION TO WORK FOR FOREIGN PROFESSIONALS WITH SOCIAL VISIT PASS (PLS@XPATS) FOR EMERGENCY/CRITICAL TASK / WORK

Since 3 October 2022, Immigration Department of Malaysia (JIM) has implemented a facility for foreign professionals to apply to Work with maximum of (30) days Social Visit Pass (PLS@XPATS) for emergency/critical professional task/work, from the date of arrival into Malaysia.

INCREASE IN SALES AND SERVICE TAX (SST) RATE EFFECTIVE 1 MARCH 2024

With reference to the announcement made by the Royal Malaysian Customs Department, the Sales and Service Tax (SST) rate will increase from 6% to 8% effective 1 March 2024, which applies to the Expatriate Services Division (ESD) Application fee for all types of passes.
