MALAYSIA - RE-OPENING OF INTERNATIONAL BORDERS ON 1 APRIL 2022

We refer to the press release issued by the Ministry of Health (MOH) dated 24 March 2022 where the Government announced the reopening of Malaysia's International borders for travelers from all countries, effective 1 April 2022.

 

As Malaysia transitions into the endemic phase from 1 April 2022, please note that the following procedures will be discontinued: -

 

1.     High-risk Countries list

2.     Digital Tracker

3.     Home Quarantine Application

4.     MIDA OSC Programme

5.     Langkawi International Travel Bubble (LITB)

6.     PCR test by the Ministry of Health at KLIA*

7.     MyTravel Pass

In addition, procedures for fully vaccinated travelers to cross the Malaysia and Singapore border are as below:

 

By Land

Travelers are exempted from pre-departure test, on-arrival test and quarantine

By Air

Travelers will require COVID-19 test within 2 days before departure date

Travelers are exempted from on-arrival test and quarantine
